A Note About Cooking Oil
The King's Taster would like to remind all of its readers to ALWAYS double check the cooking oil used in any establishment you are visiting because even though we post the oil used at the time of our visit restaurants like people are free to change their mind and will often change the type of oil they are using do to outside pressures from their clientele, market prices, taste, etc.

The King's Taster Visits Little Pub in Ridgefield, CT
Little Pub - Ridgefield, CT - You would think that a restaurant that uses canola oil, a flagship for anyone with a soy allergy, would be smart enough to ensure that their restroom did not contain soy soap but you would be wrong. The King's Taster brought this fact to the attention of the management and even went so far as to write a written comment that expressed how someone with a soy allergy could potentially have a reaction after using the restroom, washing their hands and then returning to eat with soy covered hands. After returning approximately one month later the restaurant is still using the same brand of soy soap and soy lotion. Given their obvious neglect of our written comment it raises questions about their commitment to ensuring that their patrons with food allergies have a risk free meal. In addition to being a potential danger for soy allergic patrons there are almost no gluten free menu options available, and items such as their "I'm going to graceland burger" contain thai peanut sauce so this restaurant is not peanut free/ As such this restaurant currently receives a rating of 1 spoon.
